 Cat Lane is a seasoned makeup industry expert with over 20 years of experience that spans film, television, print, music, fashion, live event, bridal, corporate marketing, and brand education. Her far-reaching career working across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean has afforded her an exciting array of experiences that has allowed her skill and flexibility as an artist to constantly evolve, all while bringing a sharp wit and keen sense of humor to her craft.

Cat’s career started working at counter for M.A.C. in 2001 in Jacksonville, FL. Soon after, she was promoted into a training position with the brand and spent the next several years honing her artistry, mentoring, and public speaking skills. Cat’s formative years with M.A.C. opened the door to travel throughout the United States training and serving as a platform artist for another brand rooted in makeup artistry and education: MAKE UP FOR EVER. It was there that Cat was able to learn directly from legendary makeup artist and brand founder, Dany Sanz.

During her time with both dynamic brands, Cat was provided occasions to expand her makeup artistry beyond the retail space via brand-sponsored events such as New York Fashion Week, MTV Music Awards, NFL Marketing Campaigns, Miami Fashion Week, and multiple concerts including Cher, Aerosmith, and The B-52s.

While Cat’s career as a brand educator was incredibly fulfilling, her origins in theatre, dance, and photography called her to the diverse world of production and print makeup. Currently, Cat can be found on set for television and film or working alongside award-winning photographers capturing the essence of Austin’s big-tech executive leaders. Her next challenge will be returning to fashion and editorial to continue pushing her artistry further, in addition to conquering a long-overdue challenge: social media tutorials!

Whatever the makeup challenge, Cat Lane always considers her career a great adventure!
